Leeds Mencap

"It’s incredible how efficient it is considering Givto is run entirely by volunteers."

This is what they had to say:
How Givto users have helped us

With the support of Givto users, we can run events such as coffee mornings for families with children with learning disabilities. These events are really important, especially at the moment. Lots of children haven’t left the house in a long time because of the pandemic. Coffee mornings give them a chance to get some social interactions and give the families a chance to relax and have a break.

“Lockdown has been extremely hard for me and my family, but the support we have received has been a lifeline. The team phone regularly to check in to see if we need help. We also agree goals and targets for Thomas for his development so we can work on them at home.

We both love coming to Leeds Mencap. It makes a huge difference as Thomas is getting the early support that he needs as well as the chance to socialise with other children but it’s good for me too, because I meet other families who are in similar situations, who also help support us through our journey.” - parent of a young child attending our specialist playroom

Why we signed up with Givto

We’re a small team with very little budget for new initiatives. Givto offered us a low risk way to reach new people. Some platforms charge you a set up fee but Givto don’t, and the whole process was so easy and simple. Givto kept us updated the whole way through and once the funds had been raised, we were paid really quickly. It’s incredible how efficient it is considering Givto is run entirely by volunteers.

We’d love you to know...

...that we encourage other small charities to get involved with Givto. There is no set up cost and the whole process is so simple and quick!

“Givto appeals to me not just as a charity partner, but as an individual user too."
